The Story Behind MC4-IT
MC4-IT started in 2007, not as a planned business venture, but from a simple act of community service.
As a founding board member of Deutsche Schule Melbourne (DSM), a German bilingual school, I took on the task of creating their website and handling marketing. The site gained significant attention. Parents loved it, the community embraced it, and suddenly, I was fielding requests from other organizations asking, "Can you build our website too?"
What began as volunteer work for a school project evolved into something I'm truly passionate about: helping Australian businesses establish their online presence with the same care and attention I'd give my own projects.
Why I Do This
By day, I'm CEO of a highly regarded technology company, where I lead teams, manage complex projects, and understand firsthand what businesses need to succeed. By night and weekends, I run MC4-IT, not because I have to, but because I genuinely love it.
In December 2025, I was honored to receive the CEO of the Year 2025 Award from CEO Monthly magazine (UK), recognizing leadership excellence in the technology sector. While that award reflects my corporate work, the principles that earned it (strategic thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence) flow directly into every MC4-IT project.
There's something deeply satisfying about helping a physiotherapy practice attract new patients, launching a restaurant's online presence, or giving an ASX-listed exploration company a website that reflects their professionalism. Each project is unique, each client has a story, and I get to be part of their success.
My background as a PhD-trained scientist means I approach web development analytically and systematically. But it's the human connection, working directly with business owners who care as much about their ventures as I do, that keeps me engaged.
